Your activities
- Responsible for the planning, operation and strategic development of the VMware virtualization platform including storage and HCI platform
- . HCI platform
- Introduction and management of additional components to increase security and the degree of automation
- Administration and further development of the virtual desktop client environment (VMware Horizon) as well as collaboration in the further development of our disaster recovery environment
- Enforcement of security standards as well as planning and monitoring of the IT environments to ensure the security of the IT infrastructure;monitoring the IT environments to ensure compliance with audit-compliant standards
- Working on projects as part of the strategic expansion of our IT infrastructure as well as coordinating and instructing external service providers
- Deployment on the ships during shipyard times and ship newbuilds as well as participation in the on-call service
Your qualifications
- Completed studies in the field of computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification
- Professional experience in the field of IT infrastructure ideally with the virtualization platform VMware
- Knowledge of network architecture and system administration as well as experience in project management
- Good English and very good German language skills as well as confidence in using MS Office 365
- A sense of responsibility, a structured and analytical way of working as well as teamwork and communication skills
