You have a passion for gastronomy, but durian and halo-halo are foreign words even for you? With your job on board as a restaurant manager (Maitre d’hotel) (f/m/d) you look über the edge of the plate and serve not dishes, but experiences:

  • Responsibility for the flow in the assigned restaurants, specialty restaurants, lounges, bistro, crew mess and all other gastronomic facilities on board as well as administrative tasks in cooperation with the Executive Maitre d’Hotel
  • Control and ensure, as well as implement, the specified recipes and standards in the restaurant
  • Standing control of menu briefings and presence in the restaurants during meals
  • Preparing, reviewing and routing food, beverage and hotel store orders for the work area according to set budgets and other specifications
  • Contact guests for suggestions, proposals and critiques in service
  • In special cases, flexible deployment in other service areas
  • Contract duration of your first assignment: 4 months, subsequent follow-up contracts possible
  • Your advancement will be based on your availability in conjunction with onboard scheduling and is generally possible year-round on any day of the month

This is what you bring on board:

  • Qualified training in the hotel industry or in the catering
  • Many years of experience as Maitre D’ or restaurant manager
  • Experience in complaint management
  • Knowledge of German & English (spoken and written)
  • fluently negotiating

  • High willingness to provide service to guests & crew members
